Pawsbury Lane Proudly Supports Rescue City at Culture Lab LIC’s Pup-Up

What matched the heat on the first Sunday afternoon of July was the warmth of the community present at Culture Lab’s Pup-Up—a monthly event held on the first Sunday, where local pet businesses and rescue organizations come together, drawing a crowd of dog lovers.

Our first experience being part of the Pup-Up in the heart of our neighborhood was incredible. We are so grateful for our partnership with Rescue City, a New York-based foster and rescue organization, which added meaning and purpose to our participation at the event. It was heartwarming to see foster pups in our signature bandanas, gifted as donations, and shoppers eagerly making purchases, knowing that a percentage of sales would support the pups at Rescue City. With rescue volunteers sharing their foster and rescue stories, future pet parents expressing excitement about adopting, and dog parents showing their love for their pets, the atmosphere was simply beautiful.

What made our experience even more amazing at the end of the day was a surprise visit by our local Queens-based influencer Rivy (@itslittlerivy) and her rescue pup, Tofu! Rivy purchased a matching Daisy Day headband and a sailor bow for herself and Tofu, a purchase made not only for adorable moments but for a cause.

Dogs truly bring people together, creating opportunities for new friendships and connections. We are especially thankful to Culture Lab LIC for creating such a meaningful space that brings together a community who share their love for dogs. Being part of the Pup-Up was more than just a business opportunity; it was a chance to give back to the community and support a great cause. At the end of an exhausting but fulfilling day, we donated $100 to Rescue City. Thank you all for making purchases that help support this wonderful cause. We look forward to future Pup-Ups and continuing our support for animal welfare organizations. After all, Pawsbury Lane was founded out of love for our rescue cat and dog.
